About MSO

Teenagers are very special people. Unfortunately, many live in an environment of poverty, broken homes, negative peer pressure, drug and alcohol abuse, physical and mental abuse, gang influences and declining moral values.

At MSO camps, teens can get away from that environment. In a peaceful, natural setting near Bear Valley, California teens have time and space to reflect on their lives, find out what kind of person they are or would like to become, and to think about the direction of the paths they are taking.

Through MSO, teens come to realize that they are special people and, with proper guidance, that they can have happy and fulfilling lives.

MSO Outreach camps serve the greater San Francisco Bay Area and are conducted at the MSO camp grounds. The camps are six days in length. Due to the needs of the teens at the camps, there are 2 counselors serving 8 campers. Campers arriving and expecting a week of fun and laughter, always leave with so much more.

At the nightly campfires, teens hear the testimonies of others who have been in the very situations they are facing. They are taught about love, forgiveness and hope. They learn the power of prayer and that there is someone upon whom they can cast all of their fears, heartaches and tears. They learn that there are people who care about them.

They leave camp with a new start and hopes and dreams for a brighter and more promising future. Ninety percent of the campers accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Upon their return to the Bay Area, the campers are connected with loving congregations nearby.
